FTX, one of the top 15 crypto exchanges by 24H trading volume, has increased the sum of reward paid to researchers for finding and reporting critical severity vulnerabilities in its web and mobile systems. Now ethical researchers participating in the bug bounty programs run by FTX on HackenProof can earn up to $50K for finding a critical bug.

Crypto crime is on the rise in 2022. For the first 3 months of this year, crypto investors lost $1.22B in thefts. The сrypto community is likely to face even greater scope of cybercrime in the coming months since attacks become more sophisticated and new criminal organizations are entering the scene.

By offering greater rewards to researchers, FTX wants to create additional motivation for our researchers to focus on participating in its bug bounty programs:

What does the decision to increase the reward mean?

Crypto players, especially those managing or accumulating huge volumes of assets are emphasizing the crucial role of cybersecurity in their successful functioning. At a time of market uncertainty, providing a top level of security to users will constitute a visible competitive advantage for FTX. This decision proves that cybersecurity is digital healthcare.
